Pupils in the Junior School were treated to a formal assembly when they were all asked to be upstanding to welcome - Mr Roger Bowers the High Sheriff of West Yorkshire. The children were treated to tales of past Sheriffs (not all who were as honest as Mr Bowers) and their many exploits. The biggest thrill for the pupils was having the opportunity to handle the ceremonial sword. To complete the assembly the High Sheriff handed out the year 2 and three certificates for good work and behavior.
The Junior School would like to thank Mr Bowers for his visit and excellent talk.
