Pupils are seen here talking via a satellite link to Adam Carey, who along with seven other adventurers is making his way to the North Pole. At the time of the call Adam was 30 miles from the North Pole. The worst aspect of the trip so far had been going to the lavatory because of the cold. Moving on. The hardest part was keeping your hands warm, even inside three layers of gloves!! The only noise that he could hear was ice crunching and moving. There were no birds and the only wild animal he had seen was Fred a fellow adventurer when he tried to take one of his chocolates.
